Raw Vegan Strawberry Protein Milkshake...

You need to start this recipe with a basic almond milk. For this, you will need to soak the almonds for at least 20 minutes but better if you soak them overnight.

Ingredients:

1 cup Almonds

3 cups Filtered Water

3-4 Pitted soaked dates

Pinch Himalayan Salt

1 tablespoon Chia Seeds

1 teaspoon Bee Pollen (optional – not vegan, could be replaced with Maca or Lucuma Powder)

1 cup Organic Strawberries

 

Instructions for Almond Milk: 
– Soak almonds for 12 hours in water. The reason for soaking is to break down the enzyme inhibitors in almonds. Once soaking is down, give them a good rinse with fresh water.
– Once rinsed well. Mix the almonds with pure water in a blender. I use my Vitamix for this.

Add a pinch of Salt and 2-3 soaked and pitted dates.
Blend for about 80 seconds (longer if you not using a Vitamix) until smooth and creamy.
– Strain mixture into a large bowl through a nut milk bag.

If you stopping with the recipe here than pour into a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.

STEP 2 –  Instructions: 

Now you have your creamy almond milk. Place it in the blender and add the superfoods (Chia, Bee Pollen or Maca and Lucuma. Experiment with flavors. I often use cacao, turmeric, ginger, hemp powder or seeds, vanilla powder, allspice and cinnamon in my milk too. )

Add the strawberries and blend. Taste and if you think you need extra sweetness add another pitted and soaked date and blend again until creamy.
