Dehydrated Apple Slices With Optional "on guard" Essential Oil...

My sons favorite snack is dehydrated apples and bananas. We make them every half term and when we have aboundance in fresh fruits.  

It will take about 8-12 hours to dehydrate the apples in the food dehydrator. Slice the apples as thin as possible and soak them in a mug of water with one drop of on guard added. Soak the apple slices for 15 min so they absorb the flavor. You don’t need to peel them. Place apple slices on dehydrator trays and sprinkle them with cinnamon powder. Be sure none of the pieces are touching and that there is some space around each slice for air to circulate. Set the temperature for 130 F. Turn on the dehydrator and dry the apples until they are crispy. Store in a glass jar. It makes a great alternative to crisp, and it is a fab finger food for small children.
